- On very decayed balckened remains of Russula or on duff and very old woody debris near Tsuga heterophylla (Western Hemlock).

Minute, white to cream, usually with darker umbo.
- Lamellae
White to cream to pinkish-white.
- Stipe
White to light ochraceous buff, very fragile, slightly cartilagenous, with apple seed to orangy-tan brwon colors.

- Comments
This minute fungus can be told readily by its brownish to reddish sclerotia, which typically look like an apple seed. It is often, but definitely not always, found on the remains of blackened decayed Russulas.
