Habitat

Growing on Picea sitchensis cones, near TSHE, PISI,VAPA, LYAM, and Sphagnum. 

Pileus

Smooth; dry; slightly hygrophanous; convex to plane; papillate, buff. Margin is inrolled and lighter in color, even or cracking. 15mm diameter.

 

Lamellae

Concolorous with cap (=buff); super fine and dense = crowded; with lamellulae; adnexed to free.

 

Stipe

Equal; light buff; pruinose, 10mm - 35mm long, with distinct white pseudorhiza at base(see representative photos).

 

Micro

Spores 3-4 x 2-2.3,amyloid in Meltzer's reagent. Caulocystidia hyline, lageniform (see representative photos). Cheilocystidia hyline, hyphae-like (see representative photos).

 

Comments

Spore print is white.
